Characters from Korean folklore — the Tiger, the Dokkaebi, Nolbu, the Nine-tailed Fox — tell their own stories through song and performance in a contemporary club setting.
Familiar figures are met in a new register, on a stage where traditional storytelling and a modern performance style are put together.
CLUB SEOLHWA reinterprets traditional folktales through contemporary music and performance — EDM, hip-hop and house.
Audience participation and character performance run together in a club-style show, and the whole room fills with the energy of a festival.
CLUB SEOLHWA is an interactive musical: the audience does not simply watch but takes part in where the story goes.
You hear each character out, and your choices complete the ending — which means a different ending is made at every performance.
Find the most wronged being in five thousand years of stories from the Korean peninsula
The characters' appeals against how they were written have grown loud enough to disturb the heavens,
so at the club called Seolhwa, under the presiding eye of the Jade Emperor, a national vote is held.
Word spreads, and the candidates arrive.
Each lays out a pitiful, hard-done-by tale of their own.
Tonight, whoever is chosen as the most wronged is granted a feast of a salpuri rite,
and — the greatest prize of all — the story they appear in will be rewritten.

Ages 14 and over, which means anyone born in 2012 or earlier. Age is assessed against the date of the performance, and identification may be requested when collecting tickets and entering the auditorium. Anyone born after the permitted year cannot collect tickets or enter, with or without a guardian, and no same-day cancellation or refund is possible on those grounds.
The show is standing. If you would rather sit, you are welcome to watch from the seats on level 2.
Yes — you may come and go freely during the performance.
The foyer and auditorium open 20 minutes before the performance. Please be inside the venue at least 10 minutes before the start so the show can begin smoothly.
Yes — photography and video are permitted throughout, including the curtain call. Professional equipment (DSLR) may only be used from level 2 so as not to disturb other guests, and tripods are not allowed.
Tickets can be collected, and on-site purchases made, from one hour before the performance. Tickets are not posted and must be collected in person. A ticket and an entry wristband are issued together, and the person who booked must show identification. Tickets that are lost or damaged after collection cannot be reissued and entry will not be possible.
Casting differs from performance to performance and is listed on the ticketing site. It is subject to change without prior notice at the discretion of the performers and the production company.
A cancellation fee applies depending on when you cancel, and after the cancellation deadline tickets cannot be cancelled, refunded or changed. The production company and the ticketing sites accept no responsibility for problems arising from unofficial private resale outside the official ticketing channels.
Traffic around the venue is very heavy, so please use public transport where you can. If parking or traffic means you cannot attend or you decide not to, tickets still cannot be cancelled, refunded or changed.
Congratulatory wreaths (flowers, rice) and potted plants are respectfully declined, and any wreaths delivered to the venue are disposed of together — thank you for understanding. To keep the venue running smoothly, gifts and letters cannot be passed to the performers or crew through the merchandise desk, the ticket desk or the front-of-house staff.
Anyone disrupting the performance, behaving inappropriately, or causing discomfort or harm to others may be refused entry, sanctioned or removed. Items that make noise or obstruct other people's view — bouquets, potted plants, suitcases and the like — may not be brought in.
